From Modern Vision to Historic Fusion: Interiors Home Community Connection

When the builders of Porches of Allenberry reached out for a design partner for their Model Home, maintaining the design elements of the community’s modern-farmhouse architecture was paramount.

This newest single-family residential community in Cumberland County was designed as an amenity-filled modern-farmhouse style neighborhood in collaboration with the renowned, and newly renovated Allenberry Resort & Playhouse. The property, located in Boiling Springs, represents a treasured part of Pennsylvania history dating back to the late 1700s. The addition of private residences to the property, with the same fundamental elements as the resort, allows homeowners to live an active lifestyle in a beautiful natural environment.

Interior Designer Lindy Donahue worked in collaboration with the builder to bring their vision to life.

Various shades of blue and green weave throughout the house as accents to the Fleur de Sel grey paint on the walls, bright white trim and wrought iron touches of black.

The blue and grey striped rug nestled in front of the brick fireplace cozies the living area.

The dining room features a distressed black and tan wine bar.

Oatmeal upholstery on the bed in the owner’s bedroom is striking against the Halcyon Green accent wall.

And the wheat sisal rug in the office sets beautifully against the distressed black cabinets and fold-out hunter’s style table used as a desk.

The furniture and décor were selected from luxury manufacturers to exemplify comfortable and relaxed living. Utilizing neutral colors, distressed wood, wrought iron, and other natural materials, the home reflects the beauty of modern living with a classic elegance that never goes out of style.
