A Fresh Family Room Update

When these homeowners were ready to makeover their well-loved family room, they knew right where to turn. Wendy and Jay had worked with Beth Good on other rooms in their home, and they knew Beth's expertise would address their challenges with this room and provide ideas to bring their vision to life.

From Catch-all to Curated

Wendy appreciated Beth’s guidance before, and knew that she would narrow down choices and take away the overwhelm of redoing their room and help them take it from a multipurpose catch-all room to a beautiful and functional family gathering area.

Beth started with a floor plan to maximize seating for both conversation and entertainment. Floating the Wesley Hall sofa and swivel chairs away from the wall created a cozier seating area and left room for a Universal console table and stool behind the sofa to add extra seating. The rug selection from our Rug Bazaar provided the anchor for the seating area and inspiration for the overall color palette and furniture selections. The Century ottoman’s substantial size and rich texture visually anchors the seating area and provides roomy function and style.

The windows were intentionally left without treatments for uninterrupted views of their wooded property. Carefully chosen lamps, wall art and accessories complete the transformation.

Beth’s talent in combining various styles of furniture was just what they needed to achieve the eclectic yet ‘designed’ space they were looking for. The result is a more functional and beautiful room they enjoy everyday.
