Chill Vibes, Chic Design: Explore Interiors Home Casual Contemporary Oasis

What do you do when you find a house in the perfect neighborhood but it’s got a not-so-perfect floor plan and a dated interior? You take your vision to INTERIORS HOME. Our in-house designer used her expertise in architectural design to make structural recommendations that opened up, brightened up, and created spacious flow and function between the dining room, kitchen and family room.

Removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room opened up the space. A complete kitchen remodel, with color, finish, tile, lighting and accent collaboration with their designer, brightened the kitchen and brought it up to date.

For the dining room, our designer and the homeowners decided on a light natural palette of wallpaper, window coverings, rug and furniture pieces to keep the light spacious feel, selecting a dining room table, side chairs and sideboard from Essentials for Living, and slip cover host chairs from Universal Furniture.

Grasscloth wallpaper brought another natural texture into the space, and simple valances above Hunter Douglas Silouette™ shades give a clean, contemporary look.

In the family room just off the kitchen, the palette and natural textures continue with a curved sectional from Precedent, a recliner from Stickley, a cocktail table from Charleston Forge, and a Hooker Furniture accent chest. A rug from the rug bazaar anchors the sitting area. The open, airy vibe of this space feels upscale and contemporary, yet casual and inviting ~ a beautiful transformation!
